Herberge Burg Hohnstein

Staying at Herberge Burg was an lovely experience. Sleeping in a real castle perched on a high rock was unique. The simplicity and cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms were excellent. The staff was accommodating and even left us the key for a late check-in. Breakfast, served in the courtyard, was delicious with a variety of options. The location offered amazing views of the valley and the nearby national park. Despite the lack of wifi in the rooms, the reception area had some connectivity. The Saxon-Switzerland guest card provided discounts and convenient bus transportation. I highly recommend this hotel for an extraordinary stay.

We had an amazing weekend in a medieval castle, with breathtaking views and cozy rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful, providing us with tourist information and local restaurant suggestions. We were surprised at how affordable the price was for such a unique experience. The shared bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, and the location was perfect for exploring the nearby hiking trails and quaint villages.

The pillows were not very comfortable, but it was not a big issue for us. The walk to the bathrooms was a bit far, especially during the chilly winter nights, so it may be something to consider for those with mobility issues.

And the price is reasonable, fantastic for groups.
